Through the Friendship Circle Volunteer Club, remarkable bonds are forged between the children with special needs and their new friends.
A volunteer’s commitment and willingness to give of their time reminds us that today’s men and women, both young and old, are caring, compassionate, and dedicated to making a difference in every child and adult they encounter.

My first experience working with children with special needs I acquired in Israel during my army service. After a number of years, I decided to come to Canada. I met people from the local community who recommended me to volunteer. As a new immigrant, I had many fears and uncertainties, but when I entered The Friendship Circle I was received by Mushky (Volunteer Coordinator) with a big smile. She was ready to help me with every need I had to make me feel comfortable. I started volunteering in April 2017 and it very quickly became a part of my life. I met many new friends. The time I spend volunteering is always enjoyable for me. I appreciate every moment of different activities during the day: dance, yoga, painting, cooking, and more. Everything I do together with my buddy is full of love. This is a place where I can contribute, care, give personal attention & love and receive the same in return. This is why Friendship Circle is my favorite place and I really recommend it to all.
With appreciation and thanks,
