Through the Friendship Circle Volunteer Club, remarkable bonds are forged between the children with special needs and their new friends.
A volunteer’s commitment and willingness to give of their time reminds us that today’s men and women, both young and old, are caring, compassionate, and dedicated to making a difference in every child and adult they encounter.

How did you get involved?
I first got involved with Friendship Circle through my school, Bialik High School, when I needed some volunteer hours. I really liked the environment and the kindness shown at Friendship Circle, and have been volunteering ever since.
What is your favorite moment at Friendship Circle?
My favorite moment was when my buddy and I were doing some art. My buddy started drawing round circles and started naming all the planets in order! She then colored each of them the correct color that they are said to be, including the rings around them. I was so impressed! My buddy never ceases to amaze me.
How did Friendship Circle have a positive impact on your life?
Volunteering at Friendship Circle is one of, if not the most, rewarding experiences I have ever been through. I have learnt to be open-minded and to always be inclusive. It has taught me to look at things from a different perspective, which positively impacts my thoughts and feelings towards others. The things I have learnt will benefit me forever.
